Iran documentary feature 'Women with Gunpowder Earrings' has been selected to vie at the 16th edition of Signes de Nuit International Film Festival in France.
Directed by Reza Farahmand, the documentary flick will be screened at the Program Documentary Film Competition section of the festival on Saturday October 13, 2018 in University of Paris.
The film is about Nur, a female journalist who covers stories about Syrian and Iraqi women and children in the war against the Daesh terrorists.
In December 2017, the film won the best feature-length documentary award at the 11th edition of the Cinema Verite, Iran’s major international festival of documentary cinema organized by the DEFC.
Established in 2003, Signes de Nuit International Film Festival is an annual event which accepts documentary, fiction, experimental films and short films.
The 16th edition of the film event has started October 4 and will end on October 14, 2018.
